Was Dealdotcom’s video Idol contest a scam?

At the beginning of October, Deal Dot Com ran a contest for their Dealdotcom Idol. The winner would receive a $1000 in DealDotCom bucks.

Well the winner was Red Matrix by winning 37% of the votes. He was told that he won via an e-mail he received on October 7th from dealdotcom:

Yes, you have won. We’ll be making the official announcement this week.

Sincerely,
Your Support Minion

Well to date there has been no official announcement that he had won. But what’s worse yet, they haven’t even paid up.

In response to his e-mail that he sent them finding out when his “bucks” will be credited to his account, this is what he stated on the 21st of October:

They thanked me for being patient, and said they would look into it.

Look into it? PAY THE MAN!
