My first session I attended was the “Get Noticed Fast” session which was moderated by Lisa Picarille (@lisap) and included panelist Michael Buechele (@mikebuechele), Trisha Lyn Fawver (@trishalyn), Jen Goode (@JGoode), and Stephanie Lichtenstein (@stepharc). I really got a lot out of this session about branding yourself and keeping yourself genuine and sincere, along with being consistent. One thing that Stephanie Lichtenstein stated was to keep your profile and your avatar/profile pictures all the same within the social media sites. If you’re going to brand your business use your company’s logo and company, if it’s you, do the same.
Next David Ochoa and I headed up to the Meet Market and it was absolutely packed. I walked around for a little bit, I talked to the guys at 202, Dave and Nate from BrandVerity, Jeff Greenberg from Copeac, and a few others.
Then we attended the Offline Affiliate Marketing and I was truly disappointed in this sessions. I know that I went in there with the preconceive notion that it was going to be about using classifieds, newspaper, etc. It was nothing like that, I know a few affiliates walked out and I almost walked out also. I stuck around and the technology was interesting, but in the end I wasn’t too impressed.
After that I did some more networking, and then it was off to Ian Fernando’s IANteract Dinner, sponsored by Elite Profits. It was great meeting some new people at dinner along with seeing some old friends. I had the Kotopoulo sto Fourno which a Boneless Pan Roasted Free Range Chicken, Lemon and Garlic Roasted Potatoes, Artichokes and Rosemary, it was fantastic. After wards Elite Profits handed everyone who attended a bottle of Dom Pérignon . I want to thank Ian very much for the invite and Elite Profits for the Dom!
After that we decide to check out the Tweetup put on by Affiliate Summit, well let’s just say it wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be, but had a good time anyway hanging out with Shawn Collins, Lisa Riolo (my stalker..lol) , Stephanie Agresta, Trisha Lyn Fawver and her husband Dominic.
Then it was all-nighter, working until 6:30 in the morning.
Day 2 coming tomorrow.
