Popshops Introduces some New Features for Affiliates/Publishers

First off, I love Popshops!

I have it running on a couple different sites and it does pretty well. When I was looking for a store to promote some books and some other things related to my demolition forum. I looked at BANS and then about a week later I found Popshop. After comparing the two and being able to control exactly what products I could place on the sites, I chose over Bans about 6 months ago to give it a try and I am glad I did.

They have made a bunch of recent improvements to their Popshops Pro and Enterprise Plans. Here are some of the new changes from the e-mail I received:

Add a search box to your shop! (Enterprise)
Affiliates can now give customers the ability to search across millions of products in their sites. You can find this new feature in your preferences box.

Custom Link Redirection (Enterprise)
You can have your affiliate links point to your site’s domain URL. Available in the Preferences panel in ShopBuilder.

Shop status reports (Enterprise)
Get stats and other details of all of your shops via RSS, XML, or CSV. The XML and CSV files contain the keys needed for third party tools like Web Merge if you want to manage your sites that way.

AutoFeed improvements (Pro & Enterprise)
You can now choose Broad (like it currently works) or Narrow results.
• Broad matches ANY keyword you use with ANY merchant you have in your shop.
• Narrow uses only EXACTLY your search criteria
Custom background colors in Styles
You can now add background colors to your PopShops styles. Look for the color picker box next to the margin, padding, and width in the style editor.

New merchant reports
Click our new RSS feed to see a list of the merchants we’ve added in the last four months. (Tip: Change the ?days=120 to the number of days you want to see and use this feed any time you want.)
