My Own Weight Loss Challenge to Myself

Well since Tim Jones and Shawn Collins have started Affiliate Fatblogging and then there is Jonathan Volk and Tyler Cruz who are having a weight loss challenge contest.

I decided that after seeing some pictures of me from Ad:Tech in San Francisco, that I am going to “join in”. reading some of the updates has really got me thinking that I need to do the same, if not for myself, for my family.

So I checked my BMI for my height and weight and its way too high. I am going to probably set my goals really high, but I am going to do my best.

Current weight: 251
Goal: 209
Difference of 42 pounds

My plan is to lose a lot weight prior to Affiliate Summit in NYC in August. So wish me luck and every Wednesday I will update you on my progress.

Why another blog about forums? Great question, we are just a couple of forum owners who have built ours forums from the ground-up. We just wanted a blog for real life forum owners, with real life experiences.

    Hey James. Sounds like a good goal. Just curious, what made you choose 209 as your goal weight?

    Hi Logan!

    Reading up on everything, for my height and age, the ideal weight is 208. Now the medical recommendation is around 180. So I am shooting for 209 first, then we'll go from there.

    Good stuff. 42 Pounds is quite a challenge until August. Make sure you plan for a healthy weight loss as otherwise the pounds will come back really fast. I personally like running a lot. Made it all the way to around 30-35 miles per week.
