Is Internet Brands getting to close for comfort?

Just one more thing to be upset about with the new owners of vBulletin. As many of you know a few weeks ago Internet Brands enter into an agreement to purchase vBulletin, after doing so they (IB) have gone out a purchase many forums that are now competing with their own clients, those of us who are running vBulletin forums.

So I was even more shocked when I came across this, according to thealarmclock.com website, Internet Brands have just purchased several auto forums and may have more in the queue.

The list includes:
+ Corvetteforum
+ LS1Tech
+ PerformanceTrucks.net
+ ModMotorTech
+ Ford-trucks
+ Audiworld.com
+ Mustangforum.com
+ and ModernHemi.com.

Story: The Alarm Clock

I’ve talk to a couple of forum owners who sure don’t feel comfortable having the owners of the software they are running also running competing forums.

It will be interesting to see what comes about from all this.

Wow, LS1tech really shocks me if it’s true. It is a bit out there to compete with your own clients and I’ve got to raise my eyebrows to that one. Especially when I am near the same niche as LS1Tech
