New Forum

So what did happen? Well I am here to say that we (my company) are the new owners of the AAM network of sites. On Monday, we purchased the AnAdminsMind network of sites, which including the blog and the AAM forums.

I have forwarded the AAM blog to my personal blog and soon I will be re-posting the articles written by Joshua shortly as well as posting some of my own.

Also this week we will be merging the existing AAM forum into our current Admin Forums, at ForumAdminDojo.com. All usernames and passwords will remain the same. We look forward to the merge and the expansion of our current forum and we would love for you to be a part of our ever growing admin forum.

Back in Town!

by on September 5, 2007

Well I took a little break for the holiday and am back and getting into the grove again.

I am currently spending the day sorting through the e-mails and private messages that I received while I was gone. Seems like that will take a day just to take care of those by themselves, but hopefully I can get it cut down to just a couple of hours.

Update on Let’s Talk Music

I am currently working on the September newsletter and I hope to have it completed by the end of the day, with it being sent in the morning.

vBSEO Update

I will post screen shots in the morning for traffic in August versus July’s traffic. As you saw from my earlier post, July’s traffic was crazy almost a 75% increase over June’s traffic. Let’s hope the trend continues.

Well in my search to find a moderator for my music forum. I ended up finding 2 great people that will fit the community very well.

They are passionate about music and they also play some instruments, so it is going to be a perfect fit for all.

I thanks all those who applied and I am sorry you didn’t get chosen, but who knows, with the passion of these 2 new moderators, we may need some more in the next couple of months.

Thanks again!

Seeking 1 Moderator

by on August 18, 2007

I am looking for a moderator for my soon to be re-launched music forum. I am looking to fill the position as soon as next week. Hopefully I am not asking for much but, here are all the details:

Forum Name: Let’s Talk Music
Forum URL: Let’s Talk Music
Software: vBulletin 3.6.7
Members/threads/posts: 107/379/2000+
Seeking: 1 Moderator
Paid Position: Possibly a small monthly payment and/or portion of revenue or links, willing to discuss further with right candidate, but assume no pay at this time.

Forum Background: I purchased this forum approximately 3 months ago. I haven’t had a chance to give it my full attention quite yet, due to some other projects which have now been completed. I have only been posting periodically; this will increase in the next couple of days.

Upcoming: My plan is to start some new promotions and some more advertising, with a grand re-launch on or about September 5th, right after Labor Day Holiday, as I will be gone most of the last week in August through the holiday and would like to have 1 additional person on staff ready to go by then.

Requirements: Your responsibilities, as a moderator, will consist of knowledge of the forum’s rules, following them yourself as well as enforcing them, becoming an active member of the community by posting new topics as well as responding to questions and being involved in ongoing discussions. All posts will be required to be made in English and to do your best in using proper grammar and spelling when posting, we all make little mistakes and that is okay.

You must have a general knowledge of all different types of music, if you only know one genre well; this would not fill my needs. A good knowledge of mp3 players and music player software would also be helpful, but not required.

I would also like someone who is willing to possibly help promote the site via social networking, forums and/or forum signatures, spamming will not be tolerated. This is not a requirement, again just helpful.

You must be familiar with vBulletin software. You will not be required to do any coding/hacks/modifications, etc.

I prefer someone in the United States, but not necessary.

One of the biggest requirements will be that you have a great attitude!

Again hopefully I am not asking for much, I just wanted to post as much information for you to make a decision on becoming a part of the team.

So if you’re still reading this and you’re not totally overwhelmed.

Please contact me via e-mail with the following information (as much info as possible):

Real Name:
Age:
Country:
Why you should be hired:
Any Mod/Admin Experience:
Favorite Music/Artist:
Any Requirements:
Any additional things I should know about you:

Also If you require any additional information or have any questions please feel free to contact me.

So I started this forum back in November. I had seen a lot of threads around the net of people looking for moderators or co-admins for their forums. I wondered if I should provide a seperate forum for them to find their staff.

So, I bought a domain and installed a free script. But it got popular within the week from my friends so I got a vbulletin licence (owned) and I went to work from there. This month, February 2007 marks the grand opening of AdminSeek.net.

Come on by and see what’s new and what’s hot. Give us some pointers or praise. There are other things in the works, so stay tuned.
