Lately I have been downloading a lot of datafeeds where all the titles of the products are in all CAPS, why do merchants do this?

So how do you change all caps to normal fonts without using search and replace?

Post image for It’s Over, I’m Done!

The Niche Site Challenge is all but done for me.

The past few weeks I have been super busy with other projects, plus I think I just all lost interest, I think the others will say the same.

Plus at least for me, Google’s “Panda Update” killed some of my high ranking sites from before the contest and I’m working to get those back in the serps and it’s taking some time.

So I built a total of 14 sites, all datafeed sites, built on Thesis and using CSVPig. I did absolutely no link building what so ever, I did order 1 social bookmarking package on Fivver for one of the sites, which I did see a little spike for, but not conversions.

So my totals are:

Total Commissions: $174.50
Total Adsense: $17.23

So it was fun for the first couple of weeks, but as they say a things must come to an end.

Well 3 weeks into our challenge and I have officially launched 12 sites, 4 of them just this week. I plan on doing 3 more and I will be done. I have other projects that need my attention.

Currently some of my sites are starting to rank very well, in Google and Bing. Some are even on the front page.

So what have done so far?

Looked for offers through ShareASale merchants that have datafeeds
Bought exact match domains using http://bustaname.com and Google’s Keyword Tool
Installed WordPress using Thesis Theme and CSVPiG
Installed Google XML Sitemap plugin (and other plugins)
Submitted sites and sitemaps to Google and Bing Webmaster Tools

So far I have made $2.83 with Google Adsense and currently $0 in total commissions. I think that might currently put me in 2nd place.

Hopefully I will have some good news in time for the next update.

Lately I have been building out some datafeed sites using CSVPiG and WordPress for the Niche Website Challenge.

One of the frustrations that I’ve been having is utilizing the subcategories field and getting them to show up correctly. I have been just using the “main” category filed and not the subcategories.

I have been told use:

main category/subcategory

Well that has never worked for me. After doing some more research and testing out several different combinations to make it work, I finally got it to work by using:

main category/subcategory,main category

I hope that helps you out in the future, I know that it’s frustrated me for a long time.

Let me know if you have any questions.
