I’m down 10 pounds in total!

Due to attending SMX Advanced, I didn’t get a chance to post this yesterday.

This past Saturday, May 30th, was my birthday and my wife planned a picnic with the family and I knew there was cake there and I really did hold back on eating too much of it, I did have a small slice. I figured I was doing well and thought since it was my birthday I had to have at least a slice.

For this week I am down another 2.5 pounds, I’m a little behind my goal of losing 3 pounds a week, but I am very happy.

Starting Weight: 251 Pounds
Last Week’s Weight: 243.5
Today’s Weight: 241 Pounds
Lost: 2.5 Pounds
Total Lost: 10 Pounds!!!!!

This Memorial Day Weekend We headed to our cabin on Harstine Island and being that I wasn’t in my usual surroundings for a few days I really thought I was going to have a rough time, but I think I did pretty well.

This week’s weight loss was half of what I have been losing on average, but I’m still happy with the results.

Last Week’s Weight: 245
Today’s Weight: 243.5 Pounds
Lost: 1.5 Pounds
Total Lost: 7.5 Pounds

Oh Mom! Manicotti? Really?

This week has been a little rough, but I did alright.

We had a lot going on this week, on Friday I had to a new shed down to our cabin, on Saturday I was at the Meetup202 Seattle, on Sunday I was at my mom’s house, helping her pull out some old roots and some rhododendrons out of her yard. For lunch she made my favorite meal ever, manicotti! She didn’t know that I was on a diet and trying to lose weight; I did eat a couple and then went back out to work in her yard doing other things just to work off what I just ate.

So as you can see, it was a very busy week, although I didn’t exercise, besides the normal walking, with my diet I did lose some weight.

AKA – Week 1

If you want to know what I mean, my buddy (Yes he still is), Shawn Collins, called me “Rich Seligman” in his latest Affiliate Fatblogging update.

Anyway, this first week wasn’t too bad, I just had to get in the habit of taking some time out to do some sort of exercise, whether it be walking, doing some things around the yard, or just outside playing with the kids, I am putting pressure on myself to do that.

This week I worked out in the yard for about 5 hours on Sunday, did 2 30 minute video workouts and took a couple of brief walks just to get the muscles moving again.

Today’s weight: 248 Pounds
Lost: 3 Pounds

I also noticed that my buddy JasperP is also jumping in to the mix, though more to get into shape then losing the weight.

Well since Tim Jones and Shawn Collins have started Affiliate Fatblogging and then there is Jonathan Volk and Tyler Cruz who are having a weight loss challenge contest.

I decided that after seeing some pictures of me from Ad:Tech in San Francisco, that I am going to “join in”. reading some of the updates has really got me thinking that I need to do the same, if not for myself, for my family.

So I checked my BMI for my height and weight and its way too high. I am going to probably set my goals really high, but I am going to do my best.

Current weight: 251
Goal: 209
Difference of 42 pounds

My plan is to lose a lot weight prior to Affiliate Summit in NYC in August. So wish me luck and every Wednesday I will update you on my progress.
