First the good news:
vBulletin 3.7.0 ‘Gold’ has been released, finally! There are tons on new features and improvements from 3.6. You can read more about it here vBulletin 3.7. Announcement
Now for the bad news, although I still think for the price vBulletin is the best forum software out there and considering that it’s been the same price for about 8 years.
But on June 2nd the prices for both the leased and owned licenses will be going up. An owned license will now be at $180.00 and the leased will be at $100.00.
License renewals will also be going up. An owned license will now be $40 if purchased before the license expires or within 60 days after expiry or $60 if purchased at any other time.
Here is what I will be doing, you can do the same also. Renew before June 2nd, twice and you can get two years worth of upgrades for the cost of what will be a years’ worth after June 2nd.
I am going to be testing out a new video segment in the next couple of weeks where I will take a couple of questions from some of the forum administrator forums and answer them via a quick little video segment.
I am going to try and do this on a weekly basis. I am currently doing some testing and deciding how long they will be. I am really looking forward to it and we will see how it goes.
Most if not all the questions will be based on administrating forums, monetizing them, and member problems.
vBulletin has released 3.6.9 today. So after updating my WordPress blogs, it’s time to update my vBulletin forums now.
From vBulletin:
vBulletin 3.6.9 is (for the time being) our newest ‘stable’ release version for use on production sites. Any customers running a version of vBulletin 3.6.8 or earlier are advised to upgrade to take advantage of the improved stability of the new version, which includes 159 bug fixes.
We anticipate this to be the final release in the 3.6.x series before it is superceded by vBulletin 3.7.0.
If you want to see some of the changes made, read more here.
Both have been sold and transfered to the new owners.
Thanks for the interest
