Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days. I have been busy with school and then with a lot of offline projects.
I just wanted to let you know that next week I will be posting more and more as I get into a groove with my school schedule and the like.
So how is school going?
It’s actually going alright; unfortunately 2 of my classes that I’m currently taking are The Basics of Microsoft Office and Computer Hardware, I already have extensive knowledge in them, so I do get a little sidetracked when the lecture is going on, but just taking it all in.
My other class is Introduction of Programming, which is actually learning to program using C#, something I have never done before. I got a little lost the first few days, but picking it up pretty well now.
So till next week!
The next Seattle Area Affiliate Marketers Meet-up is scheduled for October 11th at 2:30 at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at University Village.

If you want to join us for a great meet-up; just sign-up over at Meet-up or to find out more information.
Hope to see you there.

This weekend Missy Ward and team of affiliates, affiliate companies and some others completed the 60-Mile 3 Day Walk for The Susan G. Komen Cure for Cancer in Seattle.
On Friday afternoon my daughter and I went down to the course and cheered on Missy and the rest of the team, as well as all the other walkers. I have to tell you I was in awe of all the participants (all 3200 of them). I only hope that we gave the walkers some motivation and our cheers only made them want to finish strong.
I wanted to say congrats to the team and I know that they are very very sore today. I know Missy possibly has a stress fracture and Jan Fluker may have a broken finger. But under these conditions they kept going. You Gals (and Guys) Rocked!!!!
The team raised close to $50,000 for the cure and their hopes are even higher for next year.
So kudas to Missy Ward of Affiliate Summit , Jen Goode from JGoodeDesigns.com, Angel Djambazov Jones Soda & PopShops, Laura Przybek of Buy.at, Debby Phillips and Jen Fluker from Market Leverage, Lisa Riolo , Karen Garcia of GTOManagement.com and Irene & Tiffany Spaulding of TiffanySpauldingDesigns.com along with their sponsors and all those who donated.

Yesterday I received a couple of Green Affiliate Stickers from Shawn Collins of Affiliate Summit.
So right away I added one of them to my laptop. I am no tree hugger by any stretch of the imagination, but around the office here we do several things to cut waste and increase recycling.
Here are a couple things we do around here:
1. We always send invoices via email. This not only cuts down on the paper we use, but it also saves the cost of the stamp and making a trip to the post office. One thing that we have noticed is that sending them via email, we get paid quicker.
2. Whenever possible we always try and get either automatic bank deposits or wire transfers. This just cuts down on paper lying around the office.
3. We always do our banking on-line, the last physical check that I wrote was on June 14th of 2007.

About 2 months ago, I decided to go back to school and get some more computer programming experience and go for my AA in Computer Science.
So last week before I went on vacation, I took the Compass Test and registered for my classes. Taking the Compass Test was very interesting, some of the Algebra question turned out to be a little difficult, considering I have seen or used algebra in over 20 years (gulp).
I am really looking forward to starting, official the first day of school is September 17th.
