After getting back from Affiliate Summit, I have tons of new projects and ideas in the pipeline, some solo, some with some partnerships. Going to the summit has paid off more then I know already. I met with some great people in Vegas and now those contacts are starting to pay off.
As you may or may not know when I was in Vegas, I attended 2 different conferences, the National Demolition Association and the Affiliate Summit.
At the NDA conference, which I also met up with a lot of new contacts, I ended up selling the last remaining of my forum’s advertising spots for a good long while. Selling to private advertisers on a very niche forum like mine is the only way to go in my opinion. Yes I also run Adsense on the site, but private advertising is the way to go on a niche site.

I have caught the “famous” Las Vegas flu big that some were getting after returning from the affiliate summit. I am just starting to feel better and but it has kicked my butt.
I am trying to play catch-up! I will get there soon…lol
Video Innovation in Affiliate Marketing
I have to say I was pretty disappointed in the session. Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV is was the best of all the speakers and told you like it is and had fun. The only thing I really got out of it was “Get video on your site†(Duh!) and “Make sure your recording in HD formatâ€
How to Futureproof Your SEO Efforts
Will Reynolds was a very elegant and great speaker. He was very well spoken and had some great points, I knew a lot of what he said, but I am glad I went. One of the most interesting things he pointed out was a
MSN Ad Center Intelligence keyword research and optimization tool with Excel 2007 plug-in. I never heard of this tool, but after playing with it over the weekend, it’s a great tool.
