March 2007

I have been asked a couple times about advertising their site(s) in forum signatures. Here are just a couple quick things.

    Find Related Forums

Find forums that are related to your site and get posting! Make plenty of new “non spammy” type threads and reply to post as much as you can, making sure they are helpful and respectful post, you don’t want to get banned right away.

    Follow Signature Restrictions

All forums will have different rules, follow these. Some will not allow advertising of a competing forum or site, some will limit the lines, colors, and images. Make sure that you know and follow all these rules ahead of time. You want your mini campaign to be successful.

Have fun and get posting

2nd week of Adwords

by on March 28, 2007

We temporarily paused our campaign this week and we will be implementing some new Adwords campaigns next week. We wanted to tweak it a little.

Also Next week it will be going out in a couple of forum’s newsletters, so that should help also.

We will be starting some banner ads this week on a couple of sites as well as a MSN search campaign.

Announcing the First Official vBulletin Add-on Products

Building on the plug-in architecture offered by vBulletin 3.6, the development team have been hard at work creating new products to widen the gamut of features available to sites running vBulletin.

The first of these new products are now entering the final phase of internal development and testing and will soon be unleashed. This initial batch of products consists of two applications, both of which attach to a new or existing vBulletin installation.

These products have been entirely developed by the core vBulletin development team, rather than being third-party scripts that have been bought-in and adapted, so customers can expect the same level of quality and support as they have become accustomed to with the main vBulletin Forum system.

Microsoft has a great thing going on right now. It’s their 2nd Annual Small Business Summit There are some great seminars that you can still attend and best of all, the past seminars will be available on-demand 72 hours after they air.

The best thing, it’s FREE!!!

I have attended about 6 seminars so far and plan to attend a couple more before the end of the week. The next one I am attending will be on Microsoft AdCenter.

Well our 1st week of our Adwords campaign wasn’t as successful has we had hoped.

The impressions versus clicks were very low, but the clicks did equal a couple of members and some post, it’s a start. So far our ROI is very good on the campaign.

We will be trying a couple new things this week to see if it improves. Plus we will be adding a couple of banners and a couple of other spots on some other sites.
